ArchiBat’s History
Architect... of Human Resources
When your father is an architect and passes on to you his passion for his profession, it is not surprising that you decide to follow in his footsteps. When she began a six-year architecture degree program at the Paris Malaquais Achitecture School, Dominique Noël could not have known that her plans, which at the time seemed set in stone, would take a major and surprising turn.
A good idea at the right time
A sociable and outgoing person, Dominique built a network of contacts in architectural firms when she was in school and gradually became the person of choice that a number of them naturally turned to for advice. That is how she began placing first her friends and then friends of friends on short-term job assignments. In her fifth year in the architecture program, she began to realize the challenges of meeting demand, which required being in the right place at the right time. She took out a student loan and created a business in 1985. Her first year in business was so successful that she decided to bring onboard Marie-Pierre Blanc, her friend from school and also a licensed architect. Between 1985 and 1991, the firm was involved in many major architectural projects, heightening its profile and reputation. In 1996, ArchiBat HR expanded its services to business by offering organizational, management and space management talent to employers in industries such as retail, hotel, banking, real estate, manufacturing and luxury goods.
Successful development
Today, ArchiBat HR provides employment services to architectural and design firms, as well as to public or private project owners, multinational corporations, property management firms, retailers and multinational corporations throughout France and worldwide. Dominique Noël and Marie-Pierre Blanc, who more than ever believe that architects and engineers need to be prepared to work anywhere around the globe, opened offices in Shanghai in 2007 and in Abu Dhabi in 2011.
