Vo Trong Nghia Architects is an agency known for its innovative use of vegetation in architectural projects. In particular through the project of the Babylon hotel that we could see the architects express themselves. The hotel combines both green and concrete structure. Or even Nocenco coffee, which entire interior is dressed with bamboo.

Once again, the green touch is inviting on this tower, and the least we can say, takes a lot of space. With only 15 meters wide and 46 meters depth, the tower consists of 21 floors and has 129 rooms. A coffee is installed on the ground floor and on the roof a swimming pool allows residents to cool off.

Located in the historical city of Danang, a popular tourist destination on the east coast of Vietnam, Chicland Hotel has only one non-vegetated side, while the 3 other side show only very little concrete.

The hotel was named firstly in the Recreation Development category at the 2018 World Architecture Festival. One of the architects’ goals was that the conception of vegetation has a functional reality.

To cover the three walls of the hotel, the architects did not select the plants by chance. Each of the plants which was chosen according to its environmental compatibility but also according to what it can bring to the city in terms of fauna and flora. The plants will also have the function of filtering the strong tropical sunlight.

The building must be completed in March 2019.
